why my audition sucked

1. i tripped up in the lines.
2. i didn't really have a good idea of how i was playing the character.
3. when the cd asked me to do one scene again, i did it the same way as the first time i'd done it.
DO IT DIFFERENT THE SECOND TIME!

there were some good, solid actors who were also auditioning for character, which i why i think my chance is zero.

i bet they were better prepared.

POST SCRIPT
This role went to Greg Smith. He's great!!! I'm definitely ok with this.

  1. Do you read your lines over with another actor before going to an audition? That can be another good way to prepare yourself.

On the good side, if the casting director asked you to do it again then they saw something about you that they liked. I remember one time a casting director asked me to do a scene like 3-5 times. I was such a rookie and she just really believed in me. So don't feel too bad about doing it twice without changing much. lol.
